Long time - no blogging

Yea, yea I know. I haven't updated my blog in a while. So, life gets crazy around here - what can I say other than that! No, I don't have any pictures in this blog - I am just sharing a few websites I have found - and LOVED - or just some I really like, or items I like.

I found this website through Deseret Book emails I get. It is some women who have put together a blog of good things to read for LDS women. It is kind of fun - you can also leave them comments. One of the bloggers is Emily Watts, a author that is so funny, she wrote the book - "The Confessions of an Unbalanced Women". I have also heard her speak. Anyway - here is the link to the blog: http://www.lightrefreshmentsserved.com/

For all you moms out there - I have two links for free stuff/cheap stuff/promotions/sales stuff.
The first one you have to sign up for and may not be in everyone's area but here goes:
http://www.freepeats.org/ This has the list of things people are giving away - baby/kid items, etc. in your area - or have for trade. This next link I really like - I check it all the time! It's a blog that someone set up - and it is for everyone everywhere. It tell of sales promotions, give-aways by companies, etc. http://www.freebies4mom.blogspot.com/

One other thing - I have found a new love instead of Gold Canyon Candles - which I do still really like. But, this one is a wickless candle. It can only be bought from a consultant. Here is a link to see what they are all about: http://www.scentsy.net/ I do have a friend that is a consultant - so if you are interested let me know and I will hook you up with her! (Doug doesn't really like any candles, scents, etc. I turn it on (or light it) - he gets home - and turns it off/blows it out. I guess even after being married as long as we have - there are still things that can annoy one another!)

One more for the people here in AZ - and even maybe in UT. Each week all the best buys at the grocery store are on this link, it also menu ideas and recipes: http://www.sistersavings.net/

I will put these as permanent links on my favorite sites. Enjoy.

Be looking for a new posting - actually with pictures - from our family camping trip.

A Camping We Will Go.......

I am so excited - we are on our way out of the heat and going camping! The tent in the picture is the one we just bought for the boys to sleep in. Our old one was getting a little worn (and had a few holes in it). Doug, Carson, the girls and I will sleep in the trailer. It is going to be fun - all the kids will be there sometime during the trip. Doug, Carson, Jason, Dani and I are leaving just after lunch and pulling the trailer and toys (dirt bike, buggy, ATV). Matt, Kendall and Kristi will come up this evening pulling the boat.

Tomorrow morning Mikel and Kris will join us for the part of the day then go visit his family in Snowflake. They will be back on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon, Jeremy, Jo, and EmmaLee are coming up. We will all be together for one afternoon because Matt, Mikel and Kris will come back to Mesa. The rest of us will stay until Tuesday. Everyone always thinks of Arizona as being hot and of the desert. But - just two hours from Mesa and we are up in the mountains and the pine trees. The monsoon season has started, so there is a chance of rain every afternoon, but that's okay. It is cooler and relaxing. Yea for finally being able to go on a vacation this summer. Here we come - fishing, playing, shooting guns, riding toys, relaxing.

Back to Virginia

This last weekend Matt was able to go back to Virginia for a few days. He was very excited to make the trip - for a very special reason. John and Aida Picone, a couple that he taught and that was baptized - and that he got very close to-was going through the Washington DC temple to get their endowments and be sealed. John and Aida are the greatest. Doug, Carson and I had a chance to meet them - and they graciously let us stay at their house last June - when we went back to pick Matt up from his mission. In fact, we were there for John's baptism. What a great experience that was. Matt stayed with them this time too. Doug and I wish we could have gone back with him. Congratulations John and Aida. What a wonderful step you have taken with going to the Temple. You are both the best!
