(sorry - but I couldn't afford to send them to all of you)

A Very - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Alldredge Clan!

I tried to add our Christmas letter that was saved on my computer to add.
But - it just wouldn't let me - I'll try again when I'm not so busy!
Thanks to all our friends and family for your love and support.
We couldn't have asked for better!

Randomness

Just a few random thoughts and happenings at our house this weekend........
.
.
.
Caught Carson with my cell phone, as Mikel went to take it away he said:
"No...you can't have it.
I'm texting people."
.
.
Hmm,
a 2 year old that already knows about texting.
.
.
then
our home phone rang a few minutes later.
It was Matt.
He said,
"Jo just texted your phone and got a strange answer.
Who has your phone?"
.
.
that would be Carson.
.
.
He texted back
.
.
"weeeeeeee"
.
.
.
One other thing:
If you were to wait in line for over 2 hours to get a black friday sale item at
Walmart
What would it be?
.
.
Big screen TV?
.
.
Video game console?
.
.
Something major?
Well.....
Mikel ran into Walmart just before 5 am to check and see
if there were too many people in line
for the TV she wanted.
She couldn't find the right tv size
so she went to ask a worker that was standing by the
46 inch TV's.
A lady was going ballistic with everyone
afraid there were butting in line
and she had been there since just before 3 am.
She was going to be the first to get her item!
The TV?
Nope, the item next to it
.
.
.
can you guess what it is?
how about a
.
.
.
$3 pair of pajamas?
That lady needs a life!
.
.
One more random item:
We didn't do Thanksgiving dinner on
Thanksgiving.
We are doing it tomorrow, on Sunday.
.
.
Doug, Jason and Jeremy are hunting.
.
.
I am making pies and rolls today.
.
.
ALL of my family will be here tomorrow.
Jeremy, Jo and EmmaLee are down from Idaho. YEA!
Dinner for 14.
Tomorrow at my house.
Gotta go -I have pies to make.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving dinner.
We'll be enjoying ours tomorrow!

Liam

We welcome to our family:
Liam Michael Alldredge
born on Nov. 7, 2009
at 8:44 pm.
6 lbs. and 19 3/4 inches long.
Proud mama and papa with their new son.

The new happy mama with her baby. See that look of love.

The very proud papa!
Aunt Mikel with him shortly after his birth.
Oh so cute. Just a few hours old.
Grandma and Grandpa Alldredge
Uncle Jason. Love his happy smile.
Uncle Carson getting to hold him after he is at home.. He wasn't sure about holding a new little baby! Liam was only 5 lbs 9 oz. when they took him home. He is so tiny - but oh, so cute!
Aunt Kristi. Liam at 1 day old.
What a special - but crazy weekend.
Doug was off hunting - again!
Kristi was in a math competition for 9-12 graders.
Dani was at an all day music festival put on by the school district for a some of the 5th graders - a few from each school. With an afternoon concert. (pictures coming)
I was trying to finish preparing my talk to church the next day.
And - calling and going to the hospital off and on.
It was a very memorable and special day.
Doug got back from hunting at about the same time Liam was being born.
We got to bed late.
My talk went okay the next day.
We survived.
But - begins the next week.
Dani sick home from school for 2 days.
School holiday (Nov. 11th - Veteran's Day)
Dani's birthday (pictures coming)
Carson very sick starting on Friday.
Me - the grandma - not being able to go see Liam
ALL WEEK LONG - and into the next week - because of sick kids.
Hopefully, today will be the day.
Dani hasn't gotten to see him at all.
They wouldn't let kids under 12 into the hospital.
Then she got sick.
So - today she and I will be visiting. (pictures coming!)
YEA!!

Homecoming

Halloween Weekend was very busy around our house! Friday - Doug was off hunting. I was in charge of the ward fall festival. Jason had his homecoming game. Saturday - Doug was still off hunting. Jason had his homecoming day activity and dance. I had to get the kids ready and out for trick or treating. I had a RS lesson to finish preparing for Sunday.
Oh well. Just glad it's done.
On to Homecoming pictures!
The 2011 float. Jason's not on it - but it was his class float.
The homecoming Football game - and #13!

Sorry - no day activity pictures! However, Jason's date was kind enough to send us the photos her mom took when he picked her up. This is only a few of them.

Here he is.
Help from mom on pinning on his boutonniere
The wrist corsage

The happy couple - Jason and Katie, on their way to dinner and the dance.
Katie is a very cute girl and very nice. Good choice Jason!
Like Jason's tie? He and Katie searched everywhere for a tie to match her dress.
Couldn't find one anywhere.
Solution?
Katie's mom made him a tie. Wasn't that the nicest thing. I don't know if I would be able to make a tie - or even try to.

Stopping by our house after the dance.
And - they still have smiles on their faces. I think they had a good time.

We Love our Warriors!

.....especially one particular Westwood Warrior - and that would be Jason!!
Jason starts on special teams and defensively. He sometimes plays tight end on the offense.
He's number 13!

Jason got hurt mid-way into the season. He messed up his ankle really bad. Had to do physical therapy - and missed 3 games. He wasn't a happy camper!
Big Time sack! (yes - that's him down there in the orange and blue)
A nice team welcome by the cheerleaders.

Westwood is a younger team this year. Most of the starters are juniors. Their record is 5-5, with 1 game to go.
To see a video of one of the games - go here: http://www2.mpsaz.org/edtv/ondemand/sportsseg/video/2585
You'll see Jason in quite a few plays!
Go Jason!
Go Warriors!

Trick or Treat

Just a few pictures for you to enjoy of my kids in their easy halloween costumes.
I'm not into it as much as I used to be. I used to spend hours making the costume - and doing the make-up and all. It doesn't seem like I have the time - or the energy - for that anymore.
But......my kids liked their costumes and had fun and got lots of candy.
That's all that mattered!
Our little cowboy!
He LOVES having his cap guns and his boots.
Nerdy Dani.
She does the look and facial expressions well!
The mighty hunter!

Back In July

I have so much to catch up on from the summer.
This is from our summer vacation when we went to the
Oquirrah Mountain Temple open house.
It was so beautiful and we are so glad we went and really looking forward to when the
new Temples in Arizona have their open houses!

Identity Crisis

Dani and Kristi pulled out the costume box a few weeks ago.
Carson has been loving it!
However, he couldn't quite decide what he wanted to be.
Our neighbor gave us this Thomas the Train costume - but Carson added his own touch - the cow costume.
We have quite a few wigs. Carson loves to wear this one around the house.
Oh - and he isn't going to be Thomas the Train, a cow (we're sending that one to EmmaLee),
or wear the wig. Something more simple. I am not into doing much this year.
Pictures will come later. I promise.

Yeah-yeah-yeah

I know it's been - well - a long time since I blogged. What can I say? Not much.
Here's just one picture to let you know what we've been up to.
Daddy/Daughter date for Achievement Days on Oct. 20th.
I sure hope you know - these are costumes! Doug and Dani don't really dress this way all the time. And - they aren't really that nerdy.
Let me tell you - convincing Doug to dress up wasn't the easiest thing to do. He wasn't at all excited about it. In fact, he just doesn't do that - ever! But, because he loves his daughter, he did it - just as long as it included no make-up or anything else like that.
They ate dinner, played games and carved pumpkins. Their pumpkin was a "nerdy" one like them. It is now wearing glasses on my front porch.

A Quarter of A Century.....

That's how old Jeremy is now!
I can't believe it. Just saying that makes me feel old!
Jeremy - I love you.
I hope you had a great day.
I am truly honored to be your mom.
You are a wonderful man.
I couldn't have asked for a better son.
You had your moments growing up, but you turned out great!
I must have done something right all those growing up years in teaching you.
You have been the best example to your younger brothers and sisters.
You are a loving, considerate husband and father - and son!
I only wish you weren't so far away, but I know you are where you are suppose to be.
I am proud to be your mom!
Here he is at 4 1/2 months old. Isn't he so cute!
We call this the "hobbit" picture. Jeremy had to serve for a few months in Dallas while waiting for his Visa to Venezuela. Here he is with Shawn Bradley - who was in his ward.
Missionaries - they'll give a discussion to anyone!
Looking forward to marriage! So very handsome (just like his dad!)
With his beautiful bride. They were - and are - so happy together!
Jeremy - you did a great job in your choice of an eternal companion.
Here is the little family - at Mesa Falls in Idaho.
( I "borrowed" this picture off of Jo's blog. )
I love you Jeremy!

It was Jo's Day!

I am a little late posting this today but.....
Happy Birthday Jo!
Our family was so blessed when Jo became a part of it.
Jeremy could not have found a better partner for time and all eternity!
Jo is a wonderful person - inside and out.
She is always so willing to help out anyone when they are in need.
She is friendly and out-going. I don't know anyone that she has met that hasn't grown to love her. Jo is always so upbeat and happy. That is such a wonderful personality trait she has. She is a wonderful wife to Jeremy and a super mother to EmmaLee. How lucky they are to have her! Jo is a very talented photographer. If you haven't checked out her blog or website - you really need to. I totally love her pictures. She does such an amazing job.
When Jo married Jeremy - I didn't lose a son - I gained another daughter, and most importantly, I gained a friend, one I have missed so much since she moved to Idaho.
Thank heavens for cell phones!
I love you Jo.
I hope you were able to enjoy your day, even with being sick and having a struggle the last few days.
Here's Jeremy and Jo when we visited them a month ago.

Jo and EmmaLee

Last November - before the haircut.
Taking a break when loading the trailer for Idaho!
One of her many bridal pictures. Isn't she beautiful! I love her smile.

Happy Birthday Jo!

2 Today!

Little Miss EmmaLee is 2 today!
I sure wish I was up in Rexburg to celebrate with her.
We did have a birthday party for her when we were up last month, but I still miss this sweet little girl!

Enjoying her ice cream - like all Alldredge's!

Here's their little family.

And here she is - 2 years ago.
Doug and I actually missed her birth. We had gone to the Alldredge reunion and she was born the day before we got home.
And here's the new family. Don't they look happy.
I LOVE being a grandma - and I hate living so far away from them now!

EmmaLee is quite the little girl. She is so dang cute! You'll have to check out Jo's blog to see some of the things she gets into. Especially check this post - it made me smile and laugh
http://joalldredgephotography.blogspot.com/2009/08/makeup.html
Happy Birthday EmmaLee! Grandma Loves you and misses you so much.
